Express Booking for Basic Window AC Installation

If you are not sure of the following, then please use our regular Booking form

  1. Your AC is meant for the type of window you have.
  2. You have a standard, double hung window that slides up and down.

For Express Booking, we use this type of bracket bracket.jpg. The exception to this rule is The U shape AC, which has it's own brackets and we use those brackets.

For Express Booking, we only install in the bottom section of double hung windows. Double Hung Window

Below is an example of a basic installation in a standard, double hung window. The accordion panels fill the window without customization.

 Basic Installation in Standard Window

Below are examples of AC units installed in standard double hung windows, with Plexi instead of accordion panels.

Plexi is required for most units in windows that are wider than 37 inches (you need to check the specs on your unit to see it's maximum window width capacity.) If your window is wider than your AC accordion panels, you'll need to add the Plexito your installation. Some people choose Plexi, regardless of their window size, since Plexi provides a better draft protection, and seal against bugs, and many people find it more aesthetic.

$5 Express booking fees applied to each AC, to help cover credit card fees.

Support brackets are required to be installed in all windows that are above 4 feet on the exterior of the building.

It prevents the AC from falling and causing property damage and personal injury.
All 2nd floors and up require brackets.

You can provide your own bracket or we can provide it.
Please make sure you have the correct bracket. We only use heavy duty, drill/screw in type, single arm, universal support bracket (example is "AC Safe AC-160"). The only exception is the Midea U Shape AC, which comes with it's own bracket.bracket

We dont use "No Drill" type of brackets. Examples below are what we don't use.

1 Safety Bar per window

Safety Bars are not required like brackets are, but they make the installation fool proof. As a bonus, you'll be able to open the bottom window with the AC in the window (ideal for rooms with only 1 window.) Without the safety bar, you won't be able to open the bottom window, as it will be screwed shut. The safetey bar goes on top of the AC. Examples below are examples of safety bars with plexiglass and accoridon panelsSafety Bars

Plexi is optional in most cases, but is required if the window is over 37 inches wide. Plexiglass seals out outside air and water 100%. If you are concerned about bugs, hot or cold air coming in, occasional rainwater, and a more aesthetic installation, then choose Plexiglass.

When using plaxiglass with the U shape AC, you won't be able to open the bottom window while the AC is in place, unless we add a safety bar for an additional $50. You can still open the top window even without the safety bar. If you want to open the bottom window without a safety bar, then you can't use plexiglass.

We cut the Plexi on site, but we need you to round off to the nearest inch. Measure from edge to edge of the window sash.

Plexi add-on is $40 for windows up to 30 inches wide and $4 per inch after.
